What is Pay Per Call? Pay per call is a type of CPA campaign (cost per action). Like the name implies, the payment is done for every qualified call. The objective is to generate inbound phone calls from potential customers to the advertiser’s call center. In other words, the user (potential customer) is actively calling the advertiser to inquire about the service or product. Given the skyrocketing number of mobile phones, it only makes sense! Naturally, Pay Per Call offers are for services or a products which are (a bit) more complex than, for instance, an app install. The user is interested in a certain product/service and would like to hear more details about it (and possibly, make a purchase).   What is “a qualified call”? It varies according to the specific offer (you will find all the details in the Goojibear dashboard). Generally, there are 3 main qualifications:
  • Geo: The call should come from the specified geo(s). Currently we have offers in US & CA. Hold on for more geos, coming soon!
  • Time: Some offers are 24/7, some has specific days and hours. The call center has to be open!
  • Call duration: all the offers require a minimum duration which normally ranges between 1-3 minutes. This period of time is used to determine whether the caller is indeed a prospective potential client. If the call ends before it meets the minimum call duration, there is no conversion.
In some cases there is an IVR (interactive voice recognition) at the beginning of the call, in order to screen the users before they reach the call center. For instance, if a specific offer is looking for new customers only, the IVR might ask: “New users - press 1, for customer service - press 2”. Commission is paid only when the user presses “1”. In this way we make sure we transfer only relevant calls to the call center of the advertiser (Remember, there are real people at the other side, picking up the phone!) If the call met the qualification (which can be seen in advance in Goojibear’s dashboard) – we have a conversion! Note that the call tracking is done by Invoca, the market leader in phone call tracking. The dashboard shows data in real time, so don’t forget to refresh!   Types of traffic Pay Per Call works well with all the types of traffic: search, display, social, email, content, redirects and more… It works on both mobile and desktop. Some offers perform better, for example, on mobile search, and some others – on desktop display. When you think on the best traffic type for the offer, try to put yourself in the shoes of the user: is it something they need now, urgently? For example, a locksmith to enter their locked home or car? In that case, mobile search would probably be the best option. Or maybe it is a nice activity when the user is bored, like a live voice chat? In that case, display would work well. We have lots of experience with various traffic sources. Think of it this way: if it is something important, you would like to talk to someone about it. Your life insurance, or your tax debt are good examples, as well as remodeling your kitchen cabinets or calling a plumber. You simply need to make a phone call. Here are some examples for verticals and offers:
  • Finance: Payday loans, credit repair, business loans
  • Home services: Telecom providers, pest control, solar panels, carpeting
  • Entertainment: live voice chats, astrological reading, learn languages
  • Insurance: Health insurance, Car insurance, home insurance
  • Various: E-commerce, Legal services, Diet & nutrition, Pharma, education consulting
